Tia Maze debut album ‘The Best Of Me’

She joined Go Country Records family with a single release that had suddenly raised the standard. A great image, a boundless talent and a high quality level of production, but ‘Bluebird’ is a cover song that doesn’t tell us nothing about Tia Maze songwriting skills.

A new original song came out to clarify this point. ‘Maybe We Were Us’ is the second single from the album ‘The Best Of Me’ which actually represent Tia Maze’s recording debut. A simple but intense acoustic ballad, written by Tia Maze and effectively arranged and played by Paolo Pizzi who produced and arranged the entire album.

The high level of production and a mature songwriting were confirmed, but Tia Maze did not tell us everything and made it clear she wanted to reveal her musical world little by little, step by step until the release of her debut album on May 20th.

The single ‘Flying High’, released on May 6th, completed the picture. The song, co-written by Paolo Nunin, still have a semi-acoustic setting but different from the previous ones and has represented the last step before everything was revealed.

The album is out now, including 11 tracks of fine songwriting and songs interpretation. The songwriting topics and the musical elements have been collected and appropriately combined, the state of the art of this artist skills has been established. ‘The Best Of Me’ is the starting point of a story yet to be written, but a good beginning bodes well…as they say.

Paolo Pizzi was in charge of studio production and arrangements, as well as recording acoustic guitars and electric basses. In some songs, the rhythm section was completed by Diego Lancellotti on drums. All voice tracks are obviously by Tia Maze and traditional instruments as mandolin, dobro and banjo were recorded by Cris Mantello. Some guests participated in this work: Big Cowboy sang with Tia in the song ‘My Little Princess’ and Paolo Nunin lead guitar plays along on ‘Mr November’.
